Halloween frames on closet door
Here is a Halloween decoration that only cost me a can of spray paint. I had a whole bunch of frames from my grandma that I spray painted black. Then I took a closet door that was broken and going to the trash and nailed the frames on and traced an outline for where they would hang. I had my kids help to paint the orange stripes. I think the imperfection in the line and color give it character. After the paint dried on the striped closet door I put the picture frames back up. The last step was to add halloween decals that I had in our halloween box purchased last year for 90% off at Shopko. The kids also helped with this part too hence the frame with the raven-bat-crown which is their favorite frame.
Another cool thing about this project is that I just have the door up against the wall in the corner so I get the colorful orange impact without having to actually paint the walls. When Haloween is over I will take the door to the dump which was where it was going anyway.
Past Projects
Since this blog is in its infancy I thought I would share some of my past DIY, party, and craft projects.

Minute to win it birthday party
Butterfly birthday party

Our scary flaming pumpkin
Child's chair makeover
Ugly thrift store chair makeover
$100 Playroom makeover before and after
So long ugly hutch
When I moved into my grandma's house I ended up with the world ugliest hutch left in her basement. Hmmm, not sure why this one didn't sell at the estate sale. All it needed was a little love, a few coats of paint (4 to be exact, I should have primed it but instead I just sanded and painted it with the cheap paint) and added some cool wrapping paper I found at my local hallmark store and tada!
